I have been Pottermore-ing this weekend, and it suddenly dawned on me that I haven’t been checking my email (the one I use for my other, sometimes anonymous, internet activities) for some time now. So I did. And amidst all the emails about Pottermore, StumbleUpon, Dramafever and others, I specifically looked for fanfiction-related emails. Because, you know, doing anything Potter-related reminds me that I haven’t written in forever.

So I did see some emails, including some notifications of reviews and subscribes on FF.net and GE, and I really really REALLY want to please those people and just write something that’s worth their time, but I just can’t find ANY inspiration for it!

Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeere do other writers get their inspiration?? I am in serious need! :((

I would like to reiterate that my silly, shallow, 13 year-old self was absolutely against Emma Watson when all those photos of her and young Tom Felton going out for premieres and awardings came out. You know how infatuated teenagers are. It’s like every little instance of them being together outside of the films was a personal affront to me. So, really, the entire time I was in high school and the first four movies came out, I was really an anti-Emma.

Which sometimes got confusing because my absolute OTP (Kenshin and Kaoru aside) was DraMione. Imagine how frustrating that was. :|

Then I discovered Tumblr, and I learned that FeltSon had a lot of backers. And somehow, I don’t know if it was an influence of DraMione or if the FeltSon posts genuinely swayed me, I ended up shipping them too. :|

Now I have discovered that KLeo existed, and I have been spending the past two days going through blogs dedicated to Kate and Leo, and finding out how close the two are, and eventually ending up also rooting for them.

Which, of course, also makes me want to see Titanic again, but that’s a different story.

Point is, it really doesn’t take much for Tumblr to influence you into shipping two people, whether or not you have an initial aversion to it. :|
